The Indonesian government has officially released ESDM Minister's Regulation No. 10/2025, setting the national roadmap for the electricity sector’s energy transition, aiming for Net Zero Emission by 2060.
This regulation places biomass at the center of the transition through cofiring at coal-fired power plants (PLTU), development of dedicated biomass power plants (PLTBio), and integration with the national grid via supergrid and inter-island electricity interconnections.
